Overview

Dr Savith Kumar (Md,MMed,FRCR,DM) Senior Consultant in the Department of Neuroimaging and Neurointervention ,He is an Alumnus of Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology Trivandrum (India), a premier central government institute under the Ministry of science and technology, where he was trained in Neuroimaging and Interventional Neuroradiology. He did his initial medical education i.e., MBBS from Kempeqowda Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore and MD Radiology from INHS Asvini Mumbai (Indian Armed Forces Institute).He is also a Fellow of Royal college of Radiology and has M Med degree from National University of Singapore.

Honors & Awards

He has over 15 publications in national and international journals and 2 text book chapters to his credit with paper and poster presentations in various national and international conferences. He is an active member of various professional bodies.

Area of Expertise

• Therapeutic Neurointerventions for ischemic and Hemorrhagic strokes (including Mechanical thrombectomy, carotid, vertebral and intracranial stenting, aneurysm coiling and flow diverter placement)
• Endovascular management of spinal vascular malformation, embolization of head and neck and spinal tumours, venous stenting and pain management including RFA ablation for trigeminal neuralgia, transforaminal nerve block and other nerve and ganglion blocks)
• Diagnostic Neuroradiology and other vascular interventions.
