Thyroid Disorders

The thyroid gland is a small, butterfly-shaped gland located just below the Adam’s apple. The thyroid produces hormones that affect the body’s metabolism and energy level. Thyroid problems are among the most common medical conditions. The most common thyroid problems are.

  • Hyperthyroidism : Over activity of the thyroid gland The common symptoms are
    • Jitteriness, shaking, increased nervousness, irritability
    • Rapid heartbeat or palpitations
    • Feeling hot

    • More frequent bowel movements
